Letter from J. Kerr at La Baca to Colonel John H. Moore at La Grange, written at two o’clock in the morning on August 9, 1840 — the night after the burning of Linnville (August 8, 1840). Reports the attack on Victoria (August 6) and the burning of Linnville (August 8). Instructs Moore to raise a force and directs Burleson to intercept the Indians on the divide between the Guadalupe and La Baca.
